This brunch almost didn’t happen due to the bizarre request from the club to make a 50% down payment when I made the booking. Given the large group of 25 I was reluctant to make payment and then spend the entire brunch chasing people for cash. I strongly recommend Pacha immediately cross off this policy as it is a major turn off.

The brunch takes place at arguably the prettiest roof top terrace in Dubai with stunning views of the iconic Burj Al Arab. After making payment at the entrance, staff will promptly escorts you to your table. The relatively late kickoff time of 2pm is a plus for those who prefer to sleep in on a Friday and increase your chances of survival for a night out.

The drinks menu contains 7 options (hence the 7 deadly sin brunch) which comprise of: sangria, Estrella beer, margarita, and the remaining 4 are vodka based which I did not bother reading (vodka happens to be my least favorite spirit). The lack of variety is quite irritating to myself and table of 25 Given the plethora of brunch options in Dubai, one would assume that restaurants would have the common sense to offer brunch goers a comprehensive drinks menu (beers both bottle & draught, white & red wine, whiskey, rum, tequila, vodka, gin, and the option of shots for the brave).

Food is served to the table and is broken down into starters, main and desserts. Starters consist of asparagus salad, grilled squid salad, cheese crostini, olive bread swirls, bacon wrapped dates. The dates were the biggest hit at the table, the rest was pleasant but far from spectacular. Main are served next which consist of: baked shrimp, lamb cutlets, strip loin skewers, and stuffed piquillos peppers. Do not expect anything above average for any of the dishes. Unfortunately I did not get to taste the lamb as while I was busy dancing and drinking tequila, the hungry brunch goers managed to deplete Pachas entire lamb supply. Desserts options were churros, crème catalna and a fruit tart.

Staff are friendly, efficient, and accommodating and did their best to ensure our table remained drunk and happy. Pacha offers an after brunch from 5-8pm with drink promotions available. As the DJ pumps the beats we continue to shoot tequila as we dance the sun away.
